Precision Die Cutting for Metallic Foil
Because of the physical characteristics of the metallic foil such as the grades, purity, composition the manufacturing of foil needs specialized and experienced attention. Die cutting very thin malleable foil has to be treated and handled very carefully in the manufacturing process as the foil is easily damaged and the quality of the final product will not be acceptable.
Metallic foil is usually supplied in roll form and in various roll widths. It is usually sold in hundreds of feet of cardboard. The most common metallic foils that we die cut are aluminum and copper up to 0.005” thickness.
